Day 1: Welcome to Paradise & Coastal Mangrove Cruise

Step off your flight at the airport, where your dedicated private driver-guide will warmly greet you. We immediately set off down the modern Southern Expressway toward the beach resort of Unawatuna.

Depending on your arrival time and energy levels, we can make an exciting stop en route for a 1-hour and 15-minute Bentota boat safari. Glide past beautiful mangrove plants to spot wild crocodiles, water monitors, and tropical birds before completing our smooth drive to the coast.

Today is dedicated to the magic of the southwest coast. Explore the atmospheric, boutique-lined streets and historic ramparts of the UNESCO World Heritage Galle Dutch Fort. Next, pause at the moving Hikkaduwa Tsunami Memorial Buddha statue and tour a traditional moonstone gem mining pit. We wrap up the afternoon at Hikkaduwa’s vibrant turtle beach, where you can grab your swimwear and wade directly into the shallows to swim alongside wild sea turtles.

Day 3: The Stilt Fishermen of Weligama

Enjoy a leisurely morning by the sea. In the afternoon, we make a short coastal drive to Weligama bay. Along the winding roads, we will make an exclusive stop to witness and photograph Sri Lanka's iconic stilt fishermen expertly balancing on wooden poles above the breaking surf—a traditional practice completely unique to this island.

Day 4: Deep-Sea Whale Watching Cruise

Set your alarms for an unforgettable blue-water safari! Early this morning, board a comfortable cruise vessel at the harbor for an exciting whale watching excursion. We leave the coast behind and head toward big-game country. Afterward, we drive to Yala National Park for an unforgettable evening 4x4 safari inside one of the world's premier leopard reserves. While most drivers avoid this route because it is further away, your expert guide will navigate a secret wilderness corridor road where wild elephants and exotic animals frequently block the middle of the road! On our way into the mountains, we will also stop to marvel at the roaring, 25-meter Ravana Waterfall before arriving in the alpine paradise of Ella.

Day 8: Tuk-Tuk Adventures & Sunset Peaks

Experience the absolute best of Ella today. First, jump into a local Tuk-Tuk for an exciting, winding ride through the tea estates to stand before the magnificent 106-year-old Nine Arch Bridge. Afterward, embark on an easy, highly rewarding 90-minute round-trip trek up Mini Adam’s Peak for sweeping, panoramic sunset vistas over the mountain gap.
